Born in Rochester, NY, and raised in Canandaigua, NY, Dr. Aguilera’s journey in optometry began when she moved with her family to Melbourne, FL, at the age of 17. She graduated from Satellite High School in Satellite Beach, FL, in 2000, setting the stage for her remarkable career in eye care.

Dr. Aguilera’s academic pursuits led her to Brigham Young University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2005. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, graduating with a Bachelor of Vision Science degree in 2009. In 2011, Dr. Aguilera achieved her lifelong dream of becoming an optometrist when she graduated with her Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University.

To further hone her skills and expertise, Dr. Aguilera completed her residency in Pediatrics and Vision Rehabilitation Therapy at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, in July of 2012. Her dedication to pediatric optometry and vision rehabilitation underscores her commitment to providing the highest standard of care to her patients.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Aguilera finds joy in exploring the world with her husband and three children. Whether it’s discovering new cultures, cuisines, or natural wonders, she believes that travel enriches the soul and broadens one’s perspective.

Dr. Carl Ritch, a proud Florida native, brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the field of optometry. Graduating from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Dr. Ritch pursued his passion for ocular health by completing a rigorous internship at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville.

With a keen focus on ocular disease management and treatment, Dr. Ritch is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care solutions tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Whether it’s diagnosing and managing conditions like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, or macular degeneration, Dr. Ritch is committed to ensuring optimal vision and eye health for all patients.

Beyond the realm of optometry, Dr. Ritch is an avid enthusiast of outdoor activities. When not in the office, you can find him exploring the tranquil waters of Brevard County on a paddleboard, soaking in the beauty of Florida’s natural landscapes. Additionally, Dr. Ritch enjoys indulging in culinary adventures, experimenting with new recipes and flavors in the kitchen.
